It has been a while since the last time I took you with me on my gastronomic trip. Let’s visit Lapin Cafe, one of my favourite restaurants in my hometown, Chiangmai. Last year, I have blogged about Lapin Cafe a little bit, when tumblr was used as my main blog. I have kept postponing writing about this restaurant although it is my favourite restaurant that I most visit. You might be wondering that why I have not written a lot about Lapin Cafe. In fact, I have not actually written a blog post dedicated entirely to Lapin cafe because I did not have any good picture of either the food nor the place. I usually visit Lapin Cafe during evening time so there was not mush light for photo taking. Finally, last week, I had a chance to have lunch at Lapin Cafe. Finally, natural light for my photo!

Kazokutei Japanese Restaurant, Chiangmai

Today I will take you with me on my Japanese food journey in my hometown, Chiangmai. Last week, I went to an authentic Japanese restaurant named Kazokutei Japanese Restaurant. I have been here many times during last year. I can say that this restaurant serves authentic Japanese food because this is a restaurant that this is one of the restaurants that are popular among Japanese who permanently live in Chiangmai. I notice that 90% of all customers are Japanese.

Now, in Thailand, the whether is becoming warmer and warmer everyday. This month is the transition from winter to summer for Thailand. Thus, I think it is time to start my smoothie routine. Good morning…!

My sisters and I were mostly brain storming about our new house that we are planning to build during the past week. Pinterest has been one of our major brain storming tools. When I was pinning interior design ideas this morning, I stumbled upon super cute ideas to decorate my future house. I have found very cute embroidery patterns that I really like to make to decorate my future kitchen.

I hope you all had a great time during New Year holiday!

I spent lots of time delivering fresh hydroponic vegetable hampers to my relatives and clients. It is our family’s way to say happy new year to those we love and say thank you to those who has been kind to us. I was struggling in finding the perfect hamper to give to them for a while. Finally, my friend gave me an idea which I really like.

This year’s gift idea was a success. All of the recipients were impressed by the vegetable hampers.

So, basically, my new year was pretty much meeting friends and catching up with relatives. Oh …I love these moments! :)

This was another outfit for another fine day for my sister. The temperature in my hometown has started to cool down continuously so my sister couldn’t wait to wear her long sleeves lace blouse. ( In Thailand , the temperature is usually hot and very hot throughout the year.)

I was so surprised when I saw the necklace she was wearing. It is the necklace that I bought very long time ago. This necklace is very unique as it was made using technique that is hard to find nowadays. It is made of patternedclay beads.

My sister found this shoes when we went through our mom’s stuffs to sort out what to donate. I still remember my mom wore this when we were kids.

Style Me: Afternoon Walk at 137 Pillars House, Chiangmai, Thailand

It’s been a while since I did my last outfit post. I actually have lots of

photos for outfit posts that I have prepared to uploaded but I have been very busy with my shop (Floretta). There are so many friends and relatives planning to come visit me and my family here during the last couple of weeks of this month so I have to prepare a list of where to bring them for sightseeing and relaxing. Therefore, I went to this hotel, 137 Pillars House, in order to gather information and have afternoon tea. After having a great tea time with my sisters, it was time to start photo shooting for an outfit post.

Beef and Pumpkin Japanese Curry

The month of pumpkin has past. Even I have posted a pumpkin recipe during the past month. As I have seen on many of my favorite food blogs during the past month of halloween, many pumpkin theme recipes on those blog inspired me to try many of them. So, I ended up buying so many pumpkins and butternut squash. As I result, I have several of them left. Lately, I have been quite busy with my work and my baby so I had to cook something that need less time to prepare and cook. After seeing me flipping through my cookbooks, my husband told me that he wanted to eat Japanese curry. How did I miss that? This is a great great recipe that I can definitely use all my pumpkin and butternut squash. I can make a big pot of curry and the curry will be my dinner for a couple of days. Hooray!!!

Japanese curry is a dish that require short time to prepare. Japanese curry has been long time favorite dish that I have cooked for my husband since when we were dating back in college. In fact, Japanese curry was the dish that I cooked for the first dinner that I had with his family. My husband’s family loved it.

Japanese curry is such a fun recipe to make because this Japanese beef curry can be adapted by using other types of meat and vegetables. Besides the ingredients of regular Japanese curry, this time the special extra ingredients are pumpkins and butternut squash.

Guest Post - Style Me: On the Beach with Praew and Sis

Hello everyone!

Do you have any holiday plans for this coming December? I believe that many of you love to go to the beach like I do. I am working on travel related post featuring my beach holiday experience in Huahin & Cha-am, Thailand. Don’t forget to check back later for this fun post. Last month I went to the beach with my family. We had such a relaxing time on the beach in my favorite hotel in Cha-am district located on the southern part of Thailand. And we also had so much fun taking photos for an outfit post in beach holiday theme for the guest post at Kitty & Buck.
